Zoo Road 1996 Football Legends Unite for Annual Matches

The Zoo Road 1996 Football Legends, a group of veteran footballers from various areas around Zoo Road, are set to organize two annual and novelty football matches to mark the end of the year and the beginning of a new one. The matches, scheduled to take place on December 28, 2024, and January 5, 2025, will pit the legends against AKTH Staff FC.

The first match will kick off at 4:00 pm on December 28, 2024, at the AKTH playground, while the second match will take place at the Shagari Quarters playground on January 5, 2025, also at 4:00 pm.

Players, fans and officials from various clubs, including Good Boys, New System, Samba, Enforces, Napoli, End of Warriors, Salcon, Inter Milan, Bolton, Power Rangers, Kundila High Strikers, Golden Fish, Arsenal and Happy Boys, are invited to attend the annual gathering.

According to AC Yusuf Yunusa Baba (Puma), Chairman of the organizing committee, the essence of the matches is to express gratitude to Almighty Allah for the blessings of life, health, and prosperity. The event will also serve as an opportunity to remember departed friends and pray for their forgiveness.

The Zoo Road 1996 Football Legends, founded by AC Yusuf Yunusa Baba, Nura Captain, and Kabiru Dominic, have been organizing these annual matches for years, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among veteran footballers in the Zoo Road Kano.

NUGA Council Fixes Date for Zone E Preliminaries
