NLNG Golf Classic Invitational: Adedipe, Bamimore Claim Top Honours

The 2024 NLNG Golf Classic Invitational concluded at the Bonny Island Golf Club (BIGC) in Rivers State, with Oluwaseun Adedipe and Lady Kafayat Bamimore emerging as the top winners in the men's and ladies' categories, respectively.

Tournament Highlights

1. The two-day event, sponsored by Nigeria LNG, saw over 100 golfers competing in various categories.

2. Adedipe clinched the men's top prize with a gross score of 77 and a net score of 67.

3. Bamimore won the ladies' top prize with a gross score of 100 and a net score of 72.

4. Other notable winners included Oludare Oyegbami (BIGC/NLNG Men's Division 2), Bessie Obei (BIGC/NLNG Ladies Division 2), and Ewache Iyoko (BIGC/NLNG Men's Division 3).

Gusau/Ahalan 2024 Preseason Cup Kick-Off Date Rescheduled

By Muzammil Dalha Yola  The kick off date of the Nigeria Football Federation President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau MON tournament tagged Gusau/Ahalan 2024 pre-season, has been shifted by oneweek. The new kick-off date is now set for August 20th, instead of the initially announced August 13th. According to the tournament coordinator, Alhaji Abahurarai Dahiru, the decision to reschedule was made after consultations with stakeholders, who agreed that the recent "End of Bad Government" protests in some parts of the country warranted a postponement. The venue for the tournament remains the New Stadium, Zaria Road, Jos, in Plateau State. Sixteen football teams from the NPFL and NNL have confirmed their participation, and are expected to arrive in Jos on August 19th. The draws will be held on the same day, with the opening match scheduled for August 20th at 4 pm.
