The Nigerian Football Coaches Association (NFCA) Kano Branch, in collaboration with the Kano State Football Association, successfully hosted a two-day Modern Football Coaches Seminar on August 17-18, 2024.
The seminar, held at the Senior Staff Recreation Center, BUK New Site, Kano, featured presentations from renowned football experts and dignitaries, including Magistrate Ibrahim Gwadabe, Coach Salisu D Black, Coach Abdul Maikaba, Usman Abdallah, Abdulgafar Oladimeji, Dr. Nura Garba, Nasiru Ibrahim NRA and Professor Rabiu Muhd Chanhu, among others.
Topics discussed included modern football methods, coaching qualities and responsibilities, media and communication in football coaching, grassroots football coaching philosophy, sports science in football coaching and management, football marketing and scouting, and the Laws of the Game.
Over 140 coaches from seven states, including Yobe, Borno, Bauchi, Kaduna, Katsina, Niger, and Kano, attended the seminar, which aimed to enhance their knowledge and skills in modern football coaching.
NFCA Kano Branch Chairman, Magistrate Ibrahim Gwadabe, expressed his gratitude to the participants, partners, and stakeholders who made the event a success, emphasizing the importance of capacity building in modern football coaching.
