The Kano State contingent has arrived in Kaduna for the North West zonal elimination of the 2024 Youth Games, scheduled to take place from August 28th to September 1st at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
Kano State is the first to arrive at the venue, with a total of 191 participants, including athletes, coaches, Organizing Secretaries, Securities, journalists, doctors, and management staff.
The state will participate in six team events: Basketball, Handball, Rugby, Volleyball, Football, and Hockey.
The Senior Special Assistant on Sports to the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Jamilu Yamadawa, and the Acting Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, Malam Bala Shenu Sani, urged the athletes to be disciplined and good ambassadors for the state.
Two states from each team event will represent the North West zone, which comprises Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Jigawa, and Zamfara states.
