Kano Set To Host President Peace Cup Semi-Finals, Final As AYSOF Promotes Youth Development Through Sports

The African Youth Sports Federation (AYSOF) is gearing up to host the semi-finals and final of the Presidents Peace Cup at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, with matches scheduled for August 8th, 9th, and 11th, 2024.
AYSOF Kano State Chairman, Shehu Usman Yola in press briefing in Kano on tuesday 30th July 2024, revealed that, the national body directed him to request Kano State Government's hosting of the events, citing Kano's reputation as a sports hub. The first phase, held in Zamfara State, symbolized peace in the region.
AYSOF aims to engage youth in sports, diverting them from vices. Yola urged state governors in Nigeria to invest in sports, highlighting its revenue generation and employment potential.
The upcoming semi-finals feature Kebbi, Sokoto, Niger, and Kano States. AYSOF plans to launch the Kwankwasiyya Governor's Peace Cup for Kano's 44 local governments soon. Yola thanked the Kano State government for their acceptance, cooperation and support.
This event showcases AYSOF's commitment to promoting youth development through sports, fostering peace, and driving economic growth.
