Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season 2024 Tournament Dates and Venue Announced

The Local Organising Committee of Gusau/Ahalan Cup, has announced the dates and venue for the 2024 Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament. The tournament will kick off on August 13, 2024, at the New Jos Stadium in Plateau State.

According to the tournament Coordinator, Alhaji Abahurarai Dahiru in a press statement signed by the Director Media Lurwanu Idris Malikawa, said the committee has reached an agreement with all stakeholders to commence the tournament on August 13, 2024, by God's willing. Sixteen football teams from the Premier and Nigeria National Leagues across the country are expected to participate in this year's tournament.

The committee has already started sending invitation letters to teams that have indicated their interest in participating in the competition. The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau MON, is expected to declare the tournament open, while the Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, will be the special guest. The Plateau State Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Yahaya Kwande, will be the chief host.

Abahurarai Dahiru expressed his gratitude to the Plateau State government for accepting to host the tournament and pledged that the committee would do everything humanly possible to make the competition a success and a memorable one.
