The Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) action in Matchday 35 featured an intense clash between Kano Pillars and Niger Tornadoes at the Sani Abacha Stadium. In a tightly contested match that ended in a 1-1 draw, the standout performer of the day was none other than the talented central defender, Inuwa Ibrahim, who was awarded the SWAN Pop Cola MVP for his exceptional display on the field.

Throughout the match, Inuwa Ibrahim showcased his skill and determination, making crucial interceptions, blocking goal-scoring chances, and delivering precise passes to his teammates. His presence in the defense was invaluable for Pillars, and his performance did not go unnoticed by fans and pundits alike.

However, the match was not without its share of drama. Pillars suffered an early setback when Ismail Nasir unintentionally scored an own goal with a misplaced header that found Galadima, who was not in the ideal position, resulting in Tornadoes taking the lead at the 47th minute mark.

Nonetheless, Pillars quickly regrouped, and Rabiu Ali stepped up to the plate, equalizing the score just two minutes later at the 49th minute, ensuring that the points were shared between the two teams at the final whistle.

As the NPFL season progresses, Kano Pillars find themselves in 9th place with 48 points. Their next challenge awaits as they prepare to face Kwara in Matchday 36 scheduled for Wednesday, 12th June 2024.
