Midfield maestro Naziru Auwalu Laja has made history by winning his second NPFL trophy with Enugu Rangers in three seasons. The Nigeria U-23 player was instrumental in Rangers' successful campaign, which saw them emerge champions of the NPFL 2023/24 season.

Laja's impressive performance throughout the season earned him a spot in the starting lineup, and he played a crucial role in Rangers' midfield, scoring crucial goals and providing assists to help his team secure the title.

The 20-year-old midfielder was overjoyed after the final whistle, expressing his gratitude to his teammates, coaches, and the entire Rangers family for their support. "This is an incredible feeling, and I'm so proud of what we've achieved," Laja said in a post-match interview. "We worked tirelessly throughout the season, and it's amazing to see our efforts pay off."

The Kano born star journey with Rangers began in 2022, and he quickly established himself as a key player in the team. His performances caught the attention of the national team coaches, earning him a call-up to the Nigeria U-23 squad.

The young midfielder's achievement with Rangers is a testament to his hard work and dedication. His first NPFL trophy came in the 2021/2022 season with Rivers United, and he has now added a second title to his collection.

Rangers' coach, Fedelis Ilechukwu, praised Laja's contributions to the team's success, saying, "Naziru has been an integral part of our team, and his performances have been outstanding. He's a talented player with a bright future ahead of him."

As Laja looks to the future, he has set his sights on bigger goals, including representing Nigeria at the senior level and playing in top European leagues. For now, he's basking in the glory of his second NPFL trophy, a well-deserved achievement for a talented young player.
